Review: Paul J. H. Caldwell's "Into Africa"

Continent: Africa
Genre: Non-fiction, Travel, Memoir
Sent in by: Barbara, Lyme Regis

This was written by a man who had held a life-long ambition to visit Africa and finally found time to go after raising a family and running a business for many years.

It recounts his experiences of various Wildlife and Game Reserves - not only the animals but the people and the country giving a more personal account that the travel guide books do. The personal touch adds greatly to it's enjoyment.

Whilst occasionally a little amateurish and self-centred in general it is a fascinating book both for people thinking of their first trip to Africa and anyone just wishing they could!
