Review - Tony Parr's "Silent Predator"

Continent: South Africa
Genre: Crime fiction
Sent in by: Sandra

Tony Parr has effectively written a travelogue exploring South Africa from Johannesburg to the Kruger National Park, including parts of Mozambique and Lake Malawi. However, this book is primarily an exciting, fast-paced crime novel about the disappearance of the British Defence Minister from a safari lodge. Throughout the novel we learn about Africa through the eyes of an English detective; whilst we also experience an insightful first visit to London by a South African detective. It is well researched, well written, easy to read, difficult to put down and a refreshing way to experience informative and entertaining armchair travel.
